“We do not play around with Italian food,” says Alex Scotto di Luzio, manager at Coppi Ristorante. “We stick to the authentic recipes. If it isn’t broken, why fix it?”
With even the tomatoes sourced from Italy for the best-tasting sauces, the restaurant is like a little bit of the Mediterranean on Yonge Street. “We cover all regions of the country and source loads of ingredients from Italy,” notes Alex. This includes truffles from the Piedmont region, an annual delicacy that Coppi Ristorante has been treating its customers to since the mid 90s, unique for the time. Back then, Alex would go to Italy to broker a deal with a local truffles forager for a supply during the last months of the year. Now there are suppliers to do the job, but the tradition of offering a unique truffle menu continues to this day.

great food, the bottarga was delicious, so suprised to see bottarga in canada. service was very good.
Visited 7 Winterlicious Restaurants, Coppi was by far the best, service was nice and smooth! Food was tasty and plenty!
We dined for winterlicious. The server was very pushy for us to order $8 bottle water and appetizers. The decor was very outdated. The quality of the food was average. Pasta was thick and therefore undercooked; much tougher than al dente. I've had much better lamb before for a portion of the price that Coppi charges. Would not recommend it. There are much better restaurants around the same area.
Me and My wife have tried many restaurants in the area, non have offered a meal as exceptional as Coppi's. We heard about the Snapper baked in sea salt, when we realized that it was only a dinner option, the waiter promptly checked with the Chef and confirmed that the day's fish order arrived. It was amazing, we have gone back for the Snapper at least 5 times. The waiters are very helpful and knowledgeable.
Thare are few restaurants in the city that give a combination of such good food and great service, and with consistency!!

Coppi Ristorante paved its way to popularity with this simple formula: never adventurous but simple, never complicated but easy to comprehend, never too many spices (except for one or two per dish. This Winterlicious, experience the simplicity of Italian cuisine with a traditional cavolo nero salad (Tuscan kale salad, prosciutto, goat cheese, pomegranate and lemon vinaigrette), rigatoni al ragu, crespelle alla fiorentima (ricotta and Swiss chard stuffed crepes, San Marzano tomato, béchamel) and tiramisu.
