We tried this spot for our Anniversary. We were lucky and ended up getting a spot st the bar without reservations. We had booked at another restaurant but due to the power outage they were closed. Anyways, happy mistake finding Patois. The food was AMAZING and the service and cocktails were pretty fantastic too!!! We ordered a lot of food, I just wanted to try it all. My fav was the crispy pork belly, jerk chicken, and dirty rice. I can’t wait come back again to try more off the menu.

Worst experience ...

Worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant!!! The Owner and Manager were rude to the 26 guests of our party. They didn't bring us all of the items from their prix fixe menu. They brought one appetizer cut in half for the 11 guests at my table! I understand the concept of "tapas style" dining but a beef patty sandwich cut in half is not sufficient for 11 people at a table. We asked for more and then found out that in addition to the $39.99 we were already paying, we were charged for every plate we asked for. Crazy because it was food that we should've received in the first place. Management did not want to take accountability for their staff mistakes and said maybe it went to another table. Management was angry because we were late and had to "turn away guests" and was adamant on getting their compensation one way or another. Overall the food was "okay" and the customer service was horrible. If you have a large party I WOULD NOT recommend this restaurant. Absolutely terrible experience, they didn't even apologize for their behavior.

Best Restaurants for unusual & unique features in Toronto

Best Restaurants for unusual & unique features in Toronto

It is impossible to single out one fascinating aspect of Patois, as the whole restaurant is filled with intriguing fixtures and fittings. Take the bar for example – it's made out of reclaimed bowling alley lane. And the legs it stands on? They were used to carry the fake blood used on the set of “Carrie.” The lazy susan on the round table? It’s made with skateboard wheels and even includes a discharged bullet (pictured above).
