Kids and adults alike can’t help but be inspired when they walk by the window of All Fired Up Paintable Ceramics. Painted vases and ceramic figurines of all shapes and sizes line the windowsill, attracting the attention of passersby.

The paint-your-own ceramics studio is owned by Jenn Graham, who was first introduced to ceramics when she made footprints of her then-infant daughter. Jenn frequently sees new moms come into the studio to make heartfelt gifts and souvenirs such as handprints or footprints. As the kids grow older, they come in to make their own unique pieces of art. The best part of the studio is that painting ceramics and glass fusing is fun for everyone, regardless of age or gender.

Customers can choose from over 500 ceramic pieces, including mugs, bowls, plates, platters, teapots and figurines. They then select from 50 vibrant paint colours and a variety of painting techniques — from brushes to stencils to sponges. “All the paints and glazes we carry are food-safe, lead-free and non-toxic, so that people can actually use the food or drink specific pieces,” says Jenn. Once artists have finished painting their piece, staff at All Fired Up will dip the masterpiece in a glaze, fire it up in the kiln and have it ready for pickup in seven days. In addition to ceramics, All Fired Up also offers glass fusing.
