1. Concoct a gentle scrub with walnuts

  • 60 g (1/2 cup) walnut kernels
  • 30 g (2 tbsp) oatmeal flakes
  • 1 small avocado pitted, peeled and chopped
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) avocado oil
  • 30 g (2 tbsp) honey
  • 5 drops geranium essential oil
  • 5 drops chamomile essential oil

Preparation

  • Reduce thenutsand the oatmeal into a fine powderin a food processor set on its lowest speed.
  • Add avocado, avocado oil and honey.
  • Mix again to make a soft dough. Pour the essential oils and mix well.

  • 15 g (tbsp) vegetable glycerin
  • 10 drops essential rose oil
  • 5 drops essential oil of sandalwood
  • 5 drops essential oil of patchouli

Preparation

  • Chop marshmallow root and put it in a glass jar with vinegar; seal tightly and let marinate for 10 days.
  • Strain the liquid into a cheesecloth and decant it in an atomizer.
  • Add water, aloe juice, glycerin and essential oils.

3. Prepare a citrus spray

A wonderfully refreshing spray, to be used iced in the summertime.

Ingredients

  • Juice of 1 lemon, filtered
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) witch hazel
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) distilled water
  • 10 drops essential oil of neroli
  • 5 drops lemon essential oil
  • 5 drops essential oil of grapefruit

Preparation

  • Mix all ingredients in a spray bottle.
  • Shake before use.
