I've been here a number of times and I'm never disappointed! Its a great place to bring friends to try something delicious and unique. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. I was there on a recent Saturday evening at 5:30 and had to wonder, though, why the hostess felt compelled to inform me that my table was booked at 7:30. It felt rather rude and unwelcoming. One of the standout highlights of my dining experience was the seared scallops with cauliflower puree and truffle oil. The scallops were perfectly cooked to tender perfection, with a delicate caramelization that added depth of flavor. Paired with the creamy puree and aromatic truffle oil, it was a culinary masterpiece that left me craving for more.

I came to Michael's for the first time looking for an amazing steak and thats exactly what I got! The service is amazing, food is truly top notch and the wines are out of this world. The owner and management are one of a kind and are willing to go the extra mile to make the customer happy. Would give this establishment a 5 star out of 5 star because I could not find any flaw. I had heard terrific things about Domani, a restaurant run by a former pro footballer from Afghanistan who has worked at some of Toronto's top restaurants, and had to come down to High Park and see for myself.
The service was very courteous, prompt, and personal. At no point did we even have to ask for anything because it was already taken care of.
The food was exquisite, well-presented and skilfully prepared. The portions were large but despite being quite full it was too delicious to leave any behind. The desserts were absolutely amazing, though next time I would do without the espresso.
Though Domani requires a bit of a journey, I have not eaten anywhere in Toronto where gourmet food of this quality is available at such a reasonable price and accompanied by such excellent service.Read more

I first visited Allen's back in the 80's, not long after it opened, and I was instantly smitten. So much so, in fact that I moved into the neighbourhood! First I was a regular, then a nuisance, and finally a piece of furniture. I finally moved back to Markham in 1998, and cannot justify going anywhere south of Steeles Avenue without stopping into Allen's for lunch. The food is imaginative, superbly prepared, and so delicious, that even when I'm full, I often look at the menu again, just to see what I'll be ordering on my next visit!
And the patio? Don't get me started......Read more
