Noodle Delight is a great place for a quick, tasty and inexpensive lunch. You place your order and a chef starts cooking right away. Nothing fancy but very tasty. Over the years I've tried most of the dishes and they have all become favourites although the tomato, egg plant and broccoli on rice is my most favourite. It just beats out the noodle delight, which is bean sprouts and beef in a sauce served on top of crsipy noodles.
The decor is cafeteria style but, what the hell, this is lunch, no time to gawk at the scenery, the boss is waiting.

The new location is nice, spaced out, easy to go around and find stuff and very clean and bright! I have an excellent opinion about most of the products and overall presentation. However, the lines can be long bc sometimes only one cashier is working but the BIG disappointment was the taste of savarine! I think they use a different recipe but that is not the taste of the traditional Romanian sweet. There is no syrup and the whipped cream is artificial, it’s only sugar.
The taste is disgusting!

Have been going to Toronto for something like 5 years and usually eat here at least twice a trip. Food is very reasonable considering comparables, i.e. a famous hot dog place that also does corned beef/pastrami and where a lunch of a sandwich, very small (albeit yummy) potato salad and a large drink cost over $20 w/tax/tip.
We go here, have my sandwich and drink, my girl has a pizza or a whatever and a Caesar. That usually runs $31-33 with tax/tip. When ordering from the delightful desert stand, it pushes your bill a considerable amount but is well worth the price!
We have always found the staff extremely friendly and service to be excellent, even when the restaurant is incredibly busy.

Had a great experience at Egglicious! Ive been here a couple times and it is also great from the friendly staff to the fresh and most flavourfull food you can ever find in Toronto. They have lots of Skillet Omelettes and Lots of Lunch Items. I had my Egglicious Skillet Omelette(What a omelette with bacon,ham, chedder cheese with hollandaise sauce). My wife had the Lumberjack & she loved it. The food is amazing, The staff's are very friendly, The place is clean. Even the restaurant was packed our food came on time. Lumberjack 3eggs,bacon(perfectlly cooked),sasage,homefries(the best),pancakes,fruit,toast for $9.95(good deal). My skillet was 8.95 . (not a lot of breakfast joints have skillet omelette). I would recomend this place to anyone.. The quality of the food to price.. You won't find it anywhere in Toronto. Even our next table was saying the samething about the food. Zupa's is a great little diner for the entertainment district office lunch crowd. It's got all the basic trappings of your standard Greek / Casual Diner. Great burgers, souvlaki, deli sandwiches, fries, gravy, etc.
They also serve breakfasts and will generally put together anything you want without much fuss. I usually get 2 eggs with bacon on a bagel with tomato, lettuce and mayo for $5 or so.
Usually 1-2 lunch specials each day of the week. I wish I could remember what they all are, but there's usually Shepards Pie, Pot Pies, Chicken Legs, Spaghetti & Meat Balls, Fish & Chips, Philly Steak Sandwiches and my absolute personal favourite, Deluxe Roast Pork Thursdays. It's virtually a religious tradition at my office.
The other really good must-have is the Egg's Benedict. Best I've ever had. I often head down there on the weekends even if I'm not working just to get it.
Leo (the owner) is great and is always smiling & friendly. Service is usuallly quick unless you get caught during the middle of the lunch rush, but even then, there's usually 2-3 cooks taking orders and making food.
Lots of space to sit down inside, but it's not much to look at, unless you're big on soccer (or some other sport) which is usually playing on the TV. Great place to get a good, home cooked meal and kill a little time.
