Goldies pizza is different then your usual pizza place. It is distinguished by the pizza itself. When you buy a slice (or a whole pizza) you don't end up with a huge bready crust, Goldies is served rustic style... on thin crust. It's seriously the best pizza I have tasted in town. I prefer the mushroom pizza the most. YOu can see all the slices Goldies offers through their display window right off of Pender street, or you can go inside, sit at the bar, and order a beer while you they heat up your slice! I really liked the atmosphere. The owner, Michael, is a classy guy. He treats everyone with respect who walks in the door. They are also becoming more tech savy, and are adding their listings to Foursquare, and twitter. I checked into foursquare at goldies pizza, and got a dollar off their draft beer. Its a nice place! I'm at Melriches at least 3 times a week, sometimes 5, depending if I wake up early enough and have time. I love this place, and have been going here for the last 6 years. The coffee is from Bean around the World and is delicious, the atmosphere is great, the music is always interesting, and the food! Everything is made fresh, and the muffins are incredible. People don't realize they can make full breakfasts in that little kitchen area, but they do! The owners are sweethearts and the baristas are always laid back and friendly. The place can get a little cramped at times, but it's because everyone and their dogs go there. They have a patio in the back which is great for dog owners, and they have a community board with all sorts of postings. They showcase art from local artists, and sometimes even have open mics!
