Cosmos Snack Bar is an NDG legend. Known for their greasy-spoon type brunch, they serve some very tasty egg dishes at prices that will make you smile (and maybe make room for dinner). The standard two-egg, two-meat dish costs about $7 and most other options are under $10. The coffee refills are free so you can easily get your caffeine fix.

La Binerie Mont-Royal

La Binerie is known as one of the oldest restaurants in the plateau. It serves all of the weekend brunch items that Montrealers love, at a price that won’t make your rent cheque bounce. The classic eggs, bacon and toast meal goes for only $7.50 and that includes coffee. Add a piece of their famous tourtière and you’ll be full until dinnertime.

Bistro Cafe Souvenir

Open since 1992, Café Souvenir in the Mile-End has offers a brunch menu with most items under $15. They have all of the basic options with add-ons so you only really pay for what you eat. The basic two egg, potato, sausage and toast meal, which includes coffee, will cost you less than $10. If you’re there for Sunday brunch, expect a little bit of a wait, but the turnover is fairly quick and the friendly servers will have you seated in no time.
