Regal Masion

Kirin has multiple locations in Vancouver and has a great reputation as a go-to spot for dim sum. Their food is always fresh and they use high quality ingredients. Their interior decor ties modern and traditional together, which helps to draw crowds both young and old to this restaurant. They have many options for fried rice and noodles, and plenty of great dishes to share!

Haiyi Seafood Restaurant

Even though it’s a smaller restaurant, Golden Harvest definitely holds its own in terms of quality when compared to other dim sum restaurants. You will always find this place packed. Their service is quick and friendly, and makes you want to go back again. They have a great list of dim sum options, but our personal favourite would be their duck tongue. Not a lot of places have this option and they definitely nail this dish!

Dragon View Chinese Cuisine

Located on the second floor at the Continental Mall in Richmond, this place could easily go unnoticed yet it is always filled with customers, largely due to their fresh dim sum and great service. We highly recommend booking a table in advance; otherwise you may have to wait a while before being seated.

Golden Ocean Seafood Restaurant

There are only a handful of restaurants left in Vancouver that still utilize the dim sum pushcart, and this place is one of the few that maintains the traditional way of serving dim sum. Who doesn’t like to see delectable dishes wheeled to the table and picking up selections on the spot? They keep the dim sum in heated carts, so the food stays hot while it goes around the restaurant. This place is constantly pushing out carts filled with fresh dim sum, which means you’ll definitely be leaving with a fully satisfied stomach.

Fisherman’s Terrace place is located in one of the busiest Chinese malls in Richmond and is one of the biggest dim sum joints in the city. Aberdeen has always been a great place to grab a quick Asian food court meal, but they are also known for this amazing dim sum restaurant. The menu offers a wide range of dim sum options and the spacious dining room makes this is great choice for large groups. Their shredded chicken salad with veggies is one of our favourites!

Red Star Seafood Restaurant

This place is always packed! They have underground parking at the Granville Street location but you’ll probably have better luck finding street parking. The menu features a massive selection of dim sum options and their food is always on point. Every dish they serve just makes me want to drool whenever I think about it. This busy street is filled with other food vendors, but Red Star is your best bet for delicious dim sum and barbecued meats. Make sure you have a reservation as they are super busy every day of the week!

Tai Tung Chinese Seafood Restaurant

Located on a street filled with great food options, this dim sum restaurant holds its own by serving up some of the best salted chicken around. Their salted chicken is an ideal dish for lunch or dinner to share among family and friends. Tai Tung offers a convenient location near a great neighbourhood; so many regulars come here for dim sum throughout the week!

Flamingo House Chinese Restaurant

As one of Vancouver’s longest standing dim sum places, Flamingo definitely earns a spot on this list. The Cambie Street restaurant is known for its neighbourhood vibe and extremely friendly service. Menu options are very limited but that doesn’t stop people from going back for more. There is a reason this place has been around for years, and they do a great job of serving up dim sum favourites!
