Downtown dining in Edmonton has become quite the dynamic food scene. There have been so many restaurants pop up in the last few years, and it doesn't seem to be slowing down. This motivates restaurants to provide amazing dining experiences. These restaurants are great for a romantic evening with your significant other.

Select Restaurant

Located a little bit off of Jasper Avenue, in the heart of downtown Edmonton is a quaint little restaurant called Select (formerly known as Café Select). This spot is nice and cozy, and is perfect for an intimate night with your significant other. It has a large variety of options on its menu, from a basic burger and vegetarian ratatouille to beautifully braised lamb shank, which can cater to almost anyone. Some cappuccino chocolate mousse over some intimate conversation to tie the night off makes for a perfect date.

The Marc Restaurant

The Marc really does make its mark in the downtown dining scene. With so many restaurants located all within walking distance of each other downtown, there is some fierce competition. The Marc is a great place for a date or anniversary. They have amazing French dishes with beautiful plating, which can really set the mood on a romantic evening. Since it was named runner up for best restaurant in Edmonton in 2012 and for best steak in 2014 by Avenue magazine, you can't really go wrong with this choice.

Sabor Divino

Sabor (formely known as Sabor Divino) is self-described as an upscale eatery that offers Portuguese and Spanish cuisine. If you and your significant other are really huge seafood lovers, this is definitely the place for you to go. If you're used to a home that's a bit more on the noisy side, than this place will feel just like that. They often have a lively atmosphere and often have some live music.

Sofra Turkish Restaurant & Wine Cellar

Trying to spice things up and try new things with your significant other? Sofra might be a good place to try. It serves authentic Turkish cuisine, and if you don't usually frequent this sort of food, it can definitely be a good adventure to share with someone.
