L’Gros Luxe is now Montreal’s most popular neighbourhood restaurant. To enhance the unique character of the areas they serve, Alex Bastide and his associate Corey Webb shun sameness, opting instead to create personalized restaurants that meet the local community’s needs. Unlike typical restaurant chains, L’Gros Luxe adapts to its environment, even changing its menu according to patrons’ preferences. Antique chandeliers and mirrors mingle with portraits of our ancestors, creating a distinctive and warm atmosphere in each establishment. And the welcoming staff is sure to make you feel right at home! Friendly and attentive, every employee—in the dining room, behind the bar and in the kitchen—adheres to the owners’ eco-responsible and unifying values.more...See more text
The Gros Luxe branches certainly know how to celebrate the grilled cheese sandwich. As proof, consider that the whole month of November is devoted to them, with no fewer than 28 different sandwiches on the menu – that's 4 per branch. Chicken, smoked sausages, mac & cheese, mushrooms, apples, poached pears... the choice is yours!
The menu here features several outstanding gluten-free dishes. I must admit to being a little surprised by the burger made with sliced bread, but it was excellent. The fried pickles with Sriracha mayo are sublime. Glutenberg beer is also available.
While awaiting the opening of L’Gros Luxe’s 100% veggie restaurant, you can enjoy several vegetarian and vegan options in all of their branches, including the one on Notre-Dame West Street, which also boasts a beautiful terrace. The perfect place for a drink with friends!
