Staff Being Dishones/Very Poor Customer Service

Extreme terrible customer service, staff is dishonest, did not admit to their mistake and made up lies to cover up. No intention to apologize to their customers. I ordered a Winter Melon soup (aka 'Dung Qua Jung' in Chinese) one day in advance. This was part of the restaurant requirement to order ahead of time so that it will be available. This soup comes with the actual Winter Melon. After we sat down and ordered other dishes, one waiter asked whether we reserved it for 7:30pm. Told him that we ordered for 6:00pm. He went to check and told us that there was no order taken down for this soup when we called in to reserve the table. He went away. Few minutes later, a waitress possibly the manager, came and said that the soup is not available for us today because the cook broke the Winter Melon and they don't have other available for us yet we are one of the first customers arrived. Instead of apologizing, she suggested other types of soup. I would not be as upset if they would have come straight out and apologize that they forgot to take the order for us instead of making all other excuses, especially when one waiter already mentioned that he didn't see that order on our reservation. So which excuse is true 1) Forgot to take the order; or 2) The cook broke the Winter melon where they are supposed to put the soup in? Did not end up eating at this restaurant but this Review did not give me an option to NA the food. Would suggest anyone who plans to go there and has a reservation or has ordered anything ahead of time, call them to confirm before showing up.
