“Mothers are amazing,” says April Kowaleski of Holistic Family Care. “Their strength, power and determination is inspiring. I grew up in a large family so learned early on to deeply respect motherhood.”
At the age of 19, April started to do pharmacological work at The Hospital for Sick Children, followed by studies in Holistic Nutrition, and birth and postpartum Doula support. Additional work as a Reiki practitioner and training for trauma, CPR, and emergency care completed the picture and she started to work as a full-time Doula.
