We used to order from here often. We ordered today even after we had a below average experience last time. Last time our won tons were so well done and tasted burnt. I told them about it and they just shrugged it off. Our food today was just ok. Less chicken in both dishes and the prices have gone up! If you are going to raise your prices make sure the quality stays up there as well. We were going to order for 23 people at Christmas but I think we should look for a new spot.
Great Portions, delicious food. Really fast delivery too. Seemed like really high quality meat in each dish. Surprisingly light tasting for chinese takeout. Will definitely order again.
I was a bit wary to eat here because of the previous reviews but decided to try it anyway because of the location.
I got yellow curried vegetables for take out. Honestly it was not the best I have had but for the convenience, how fast it is prepared and the price, it's really not terrible. I like my curry to have more coconut broth, it could be improved if chicken was added but it could be a possibility and I just didn't ask. I liked how much and the variety of vegetables they put in the curry as most restaurants that sell curry don't put enough. For both curry and rice, I think it was around $13 and is enough food for 2 people or one person with a big appetite.
The staff was in no way unfriendly, as per previous reviews. The woman who took my order was very friendly and helpful.

Loved the dim lighting, private dining, and ever superb Wait staff. Service was excellent and we will return. Classical music in background was a perfect touch. Food was fresh and delicious.
It was the first time we ordered take-out from 1st Choice Kitchen since we moved to Burlington. The staff over the phone was very helpful and professional. Food arrived fast and hot. The food was very fresh. We will certainly go back and try to dine in the restaurant
With so many Chinese and Asian restaurants in Burlington, I still like going to this one.We tried other Chinese restaurants in town but still coming back. They never disappoint us. I was told 1st Choice kitchen has been around over 20 years and managed by the same family. Food and service are always execellent.
My boyfriend's parents who have been going to this restaurant for years recommended us to go. Really good Chinese Food, very friendly staff. We will be certainly visit again and again.
I have been dining in this restaurant for the last two years when everytime I come down to Burlington for business trips from Barrie. One of the reasons I always dine in this place because I don't like buffet. I think one of the previous writer who mentioned having buffet dinner here had never visited this restaurant before ; or, he mixed up with the other buffet restaurant. Anyway, I really enjoyed the food and service here. The restaurant is very clean and cosy.

My parents like this restaurant, they've been in business for a long time, they were called 2nd choice before. Very typical "canadian/chinese" restaurant fare, but very weak on the vegetarian front, typically. My tofu and mushroom was watery. Not gross, not excting or super tasty, overall pretty reliable and family friendly.

Dinning at First Choice Kitchen was a very pleasant experience. I've had the opportunity to take-out food and dine-in as well. The design and atmosphere in the restaurant is elegant and very relaxing. Recently I had taken out the Dinner for 3 special on the menu for take-out, with a side order of lo mein. The Dinner for 3 special consists of: 3 Egg Rolls, Chicken Chow Mein, Beef with Mixed Vegetables, Sweet & Sour Chicken balls, Chicken Fried Rice and Fortune Cookies. The lo mein was very tasty, and the noodles were cooked to perfection and the Chicken Chow Mein was also very delicious. The Beef with Mixed Vegetables was my favourite, and the vegetables were neither very crunchy nor very soft, but rather balanced between the two, creating a very enjoyable texture. The Sweet & Sour Chicken balls were also done very well, lightly coated rather than too heavy or bread-like. The service was also very quick from the moment I called in the order to the pick-up time was roughly 15 minutes. During my dine-in experiences, the service was very attentive and fast. Overall it is an excellent restaurant in my opinion.
In this multi-cultural world we live in, one would expect Chinese food that tasted like it was cooked by Chinese people, not Lithuanians. The orange chicken looked and tasted like something June Cleaver plopped in front of Wally and The Beaver. Even harder to believe but not enough salt? In a Chinese restaurant? The wonton soup was as bland as to be imaginable. The noodles were drier than the Sahara . The only good things were the Spring Rolls but they forgot to put plum sauce in our take out bag. Never again.
My family and I are big fans of 1st Choice Kitchen. We really like the food and the service there.
The previous writer who talked about Lotus Chicken Rice has no idea what they are talking about. We've
never seen "Chicken Lotus Wrap" on the menu. We order the Lotus Seafood Rice Wrap (which is supposed to be made with steamed rice) instead. It's delicious and highly recommended. If you want dim sum sticky rice, order the Sticky Rice Wrap.
The place was really nice, but the food was horrible. They didn't even use the traditional sticky rice for the Lotus chicken rice. Instead, regular white rice was used.

We are from the United States and visit family in Burlington a few times a year. We will certainly return to this restaurant for Dim Sum and to try other dishes.

We visited the restaurant on Mother's Day. Although they were so busy they were still serving us very efficient and friendly. Very good food and service. Our family always go there and order take-out too. Never disappointed.We love this restaurant.
